Our Wedding

Mike and Pierce first met in spring of 2016. While attending law school, Mike frequently passed through Kalamazoo, Michigan on his way back to Indiana. During one of these trips, the two connected on Tinder and had their first date soon after. After a few months of seeing each other, Pierce asked Mike to officially date, with one ultimatum - if they were to get engaged Mike would have to be the one to propose. Mike finished up school in 2017 and joined Pierce in Kalamazoo. After living in Kalamazoo for a couple of years, they adopted Clementine and Winston. They bought their home in 2020 and have enjoyed making it their own since then. Pierce and Mike planned for a vacation to Jamaica in fall of 2024. After nearly a decade of dating, Mike intended on fulfilling his end of the promise to Pierce. After a few days of enjoying their time, Mike proposed to Pierce on the beach during a stormy night.

The Radisson is within walking distance to the Desenberg, and provides shuttle services to and from the Kalamazoo Airport. The Radisson hotel hosts Burdicks Bar and Grill, a great spot for drinks and duckpin bowling, as well as a more upscale Brick and Brine establishment for dinners and cocktails.

The parking lot address is the following: 130 N Edwards St, Kalamazoo, MI 49007 If you are driving, please park in the Haymarket Plaza Parking Lot, located just off of N Edward Street and E Michigan Ave. Once parked, the venue is West of the parking lot, just across N Edward St.

Walking to the Desenberg

The Desenberg address is the following: 251 E Michigan Ave, Ste 108, Kalamazoo, MI 49007 If you are staying at the Radisson or Hilton Garden Inn, then make your way South to Michigan Ave. The Desenberg is two blocks East on your left.

When do I need to RSVP by?

Please RSVP by April 11, 2026 via the RSVP page above.

What time should I arrive?

Our ceremony will begin at 4pm, so please arrive to The Desenberg by 3:30pm to be seated.

What is the dress code?

Please wear an outfit that makes you comfortable. In the absence of a go-to wedding outfit of yours, we recommend business casual.

Are kids welcome?

Yes! Our nephews will be part of the ceremony and at the reception. But please know that the reception will be a very loud environment, potentially overwhelming to some children.
